Ivana

¡Hola! ¡Mucho gusto! 🤗 I am a Venezuelan who has lived in Chile since 2017. I spent 8 years in Santiago. Currently, I live in Puerto Montt, in Chilean Patagonia. I have a Bachelor's degree in Literature and a Master's degree in Hispanic American culture and literature. Also, I'm finishing a course to become a literacy specialist for children, teenagers, and adults. I'm passionate about learning and I enjoy sharing my culture with anyone through teaching language. I've taught Spanish to people of different nationalities, and this includes Spanish for heritage speakers, inmigrants, and refugees of the Middle East in Chile. Also, I offer proofreading and academic writing tutoring for Literature students. I am a very curious person. I like to know a little about everything: art, history, politics, culture, literature, medicine, biology, psychology, philosophy, languages... I also enjoy good food, traveling, exploring cities and towns, singing and playing the violin, knitting, practicing yoga, hiking, observing nature, camping... What will you get from my teaching experience? 👩🏽‍🏫 🔹For seven years, I have been developing different ways to teach each language competence (grammar, speaking, writing, listening, and reading), so I can adapt my teaching to suit the level, needs, expectations, and tastes of any student. 🔹At the same time, I use my literary and linguistic backgroud, technology, charts, videos, exercises, pictures, writing, guides, discussions of real-life situations, and creativity to reach student's learning goals. 🔹I'm familiar with the AI, although I promote a critical use: fact-cheking, media literacy, bias detection, and economic, social, cultural, and enviromental consciousness. 🔹Finally, I share content not only to improve languange competence, but also to show the rich and fascinating tapestry of the Latin American Spanish. 🔹As a plus, I'm a certified DELE A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2 examiner. Also, in 2022 I was certified in SIELE preparation. I've prepared candidates to reach B1 and B2 levels since 2024. I love meeting new people! Book a trial lesson with me and let’s reach your Spanish goals together! I assure you that after each class, you will always learn new things! 🌟
