What a complete application needs.

Authorized Staff reviews the complete application. You can save a draft and return before submitting.

  • You are at least 18 and legally able to provide independent services where you live.
  • You have strong command of every language you propose to teach.
  • You can guide focused one-to-one conversation with patience, clear feedback, and professional conduct.
  • You have reliable internet, a working camera and microphone, and a suitable teaching space.
  • You can provide a current CV, clear profile photo, public teaching description, and short promotional introduction video.

Questions worth answering before you apply

Do I need a teaching certificate?

A single certificate is not listed as a universal requirement. Include all relevant education, qualifications, and experience. Staff reviews the complete application.

Do I need an introduction video?

Yes. It helps Staff review your presentation and later helps learners understand how you teach.

Can I save and return?

Yes. The application is resumable until you submit it.

How long does review take?

There is no guaranteed review time. Staff may request more information or an interview.

When can students book me?

If TrulySpeak is not yet open to students, bookings have not started. If accepted, complete onboarding and prepare your profile for publication.

How do lesson prices and TrulySpeak fees work?

The default commission is 20% of each booked lesson price. The current price range for a 60-minute lesson is USD 10 to USD 100, subject to approval.

How are payouts handled?

At launch, eligible Tutor earnings are reviewed monthly and transferred manually through PayPal.

Is this salaried employment?

No. Tutors provide lessons as independent providers through the marketplace.

How much can I earn?

TrulySpeak does not promise earnings or student volume. Results depend on your approved price, completed paid lessons, applicable taxes, and learner demand.
